Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 June 2026
Mafit Study Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects and processes your personal information to help you apply to study abroad and to support your immigration journey. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over your data. It is written to meet our obligations under Nigeria's Data Protection Act and the NDPR, and, where applicable, the UK and EU GDPR for applicants to those regions.
Who we are
Mafit Study Limited is an education and migration advisory service operating in Nigeria since 2011, with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller responsible for your personal information.

We collect the information you provide so that our counsellors can prepare and submit applications on your behalf. This includes:
- Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number.
- Academic background, qualifications and test results.
- Identity and financial documents (for example passports, transcripts and bank statements) that you upload to support an application.
- The information you enter through your application and case forms.
- Messages you exchange with our counsellors through the portal.
How we use your information
Your data is used only to deliver the services you have asked us for: preparing and submitting your study-abroad and immigration applications, communicating with you about your case, and meeting any legal or regulatory obligations that apply. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
To progress your application we may share relevant information with universities, colleges, visa and immigration authorities, and trusted service providers who help us run the portal securely. We share only what is necessary, and we do so with your knowledge as part of the service you have engaged us for. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
How we store and protect it
Your documents and data are held in secured, access-controlled systems. Access is limited to the counsellors and staff working on your case. We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide our services or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it where there is no legal reason to keep it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the timeframe required by law.
Children
Our service is intended for students applying to higher education. If you are under the age of 18, please use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who can contact us on your behalf about your data.
